By using WattAround you accept these terms. The service is provided free of charge and non-commercially. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The service
WattAround helps plan outings on light electric vehicles (scooter, wheel, e-bike) around points of interest, factoring in an estimate of range. It is provided free and “as is”, without warranty.
Estimates and safety
Distances, ranges, elevation, wind effects and durations are estimates, computed from open data and models. Your battery's real range depends on many factors (temperature, load, wind, gradient, riding style, battery age) and can be well below the estimate.
Do not rely on the app alone: keep a margin, obey traffic law, check the local rules for your vehicle, and be aware that works or closures (e.g. on the RAVeL) may not be shown. You ride entirely at your own risk.
Your account
If you create an account, keep your credentials secret; you are responsible for activity under it. Provide a valid email address. We may suspend an account in case of abuse or fraudulent use.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app for unlawful purposes, do not attempt to compromise its security, do not overload it, and do not scrape its data en masse. Respect others' property and privacy.
Maps and data
Points of interest come from open sources, notably OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL licence). Map tiles are provided by CARTO and OpenStreetMap. By using the app you respect those licences and attributions.
Intellectual property
WattAround's code, design and texts belong to the operator. Open data remains the property of its respective sources under their licences.
Availability
The service may change, be interrupted or discontinued at any time, with no guarantee of availability or of keeping your data. Export your trips (GPX) if they matter to you.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for damages arising from use of the app: a flat battery, being stranded, an accident, a wrong route, a closed path, or inaccurate opening hours or place information. The app is an aid, not a guarantee.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Belgian law; the Belgian courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to your consumer rights.
